Chinese New Year! Cockadoodledoo!

I've learned a lot about Chinese New Year from our clients over the years. It is a very important holiday for those that celebrate. It is a time filled with gathering with family & friends, firecrackers, parades, festivals, and giving gifts. While the gift of money in red envelopes is very popular, we have created many gift baskets for the holiday. There is a lot of symbolism for this cultural holiday period, so it's important to keep a few things in mind. Red and gold are considered auspicious colors and very appropriate colors to use for decorations. Black, white & blue should be avoided because they are associated with death. Also, it is great to include touches that represent the year's zodiac animal. For instance, 2017 is the year of the rooster, so we would print the year & rooster on the gift's ribbon. And, we often include sweets such as cookies & candies, as well as fruits like tangerines, as they are considered appropriate traditional gifts for the new year. Those are the basic guidelines for gift giving that will assure that you are giving a gift that will be well received. January 28th begins Chinese New Year, so it's time to consider how you will celebrate! Need help with your gifts, we're here to help! Visit our website.
